Monday Feb 25, 2019

Anyone who has surfed knows that much more goes into this activity than the ability to spot a wave and stand on a board. Not only does this sport work the entire body through extensive paddling and balance, it also requires patience and surrender.
There is a team in South Africa who are doing some incredible work in the rural areas. They have created a program to educating underprivileged kids on wildlife and the effects of pollution. This is just the tip of their program. Every summer they go out and teach these kids about ocean conservation through surfing.

Podcast Episode: A Principle of Intentionality
Monday Feb 18, 2019
Monday Feb 18, 2019
Intentionality is a conscious state of being in the present moment. One of the central elements of social cognition, and people's folk theory of mind in particular, is the concept of intentionality.
It structures people’s perception of behavior from infancy on, grows to a complex conceptual framework that links behavior to mind, and underlies distinct information processing paths in the explanation, prediction, and moral evaluation of behavior.
The concept of intentionality itself may be a very complex feature that incorporates the different traits, and perhaps more.
Join us today as Jake dives in with anecdotes and personal examples of intentionality.

Podcast Episode: Finding Your Spiritual Life Path
Monday Feb 04, 2019
Monday Feb 04, 2019
The meaning of life has been the query of humanity since ancient times. And still today we are no closer to knowing how to find our spiritual calling than they were!
Spirituality is a broad concept with room for many perspectives. In general, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically involves a search for meaning in life.
You will notice as you read on that many practices recommended for cultivating spirituality are similar to those recommended for improving emotional wellbeing. This is because there is a connection between the two—emotional and spiritual wellbeing influence one another and overlap, as do all aspects of wellbeing.
In todays episode Jake digs deeper on the topic of spirituality with Pastor Louie Locke.
